Wheat Dosai – கோதுமை தோசை
Ingredients
- Wheat – 250g
- Rice – 250g
- Curd – 20g
- Ginger – 1/2
- Red Onion – 1/2
- Green Chillies – 2
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – Few
- Coriander leaves – Few
- Oil – Required
- Salt – Required
How to Prepare
Total Preparation time: 30-40 minutes
- Wash the wheat, rice cleanly and soak them separately for 2 hours
- After that remove soaked water and move all into a grinder vessel, add curd, enough water to make a flowing consistency batter and grind them well
- Finally add required salt and blend it well then leave the batter for 30 minutes
- Chop onions, grate ginger keep it in a bowl
- Add onions, 2 tsp grated ginger, curry leaves, Asafoetida, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt to prepared batter and blend it well
- Take a dosa pan and pour some oil and make it spread across pan
- Pour 2 ladle of prepared batter over the heated pan
- Spirally move the ladle to stretch the batter to a round shape as thinker as possible for crispness
- Then add little oil over the edge of the dosai to avoid tearing
- Cook for 2 minutes and once it become golden, turn it over using flat ladle
- Cook for a minutes and finally transfer into a plate
- Now the crispy Wheat dosai is ready to serve.
