Pearlmillet Adai
Ingredients
- Pearl millet – 250g
- Toor Dal – 65g
- Chana Dal – 65g
- Moong Dal – 65g
- Medium sized Rice (Idli Rice) – 125g
- Ginger – 1/2
- Garlic gloves – 2
- Coconut – 2
- Red Onion – 1/2
- Dry Red Chillies – 3
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – Few
- Oil – Required
- Salt – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation time: 30-40 minutes
- Wash the rice, chana dal, toor dal, moong dal, pearl millet cleanly and soak them separately for 5 hours
- After that remove soaked water and move all into a grinder vessel, add enough water to make a batter and grind them well
- Finally add required salt and blend it well then leave the batter for 2 hours
- Chop onions, grate coconuts, grate ginger, chop green chillies, grate garlic keep it in a bowl
- Add onions, 2 tsp grated ginger, curry leaves, Asafoetida, garlic, coconut, salt to prepared batter and blend it well
- Take a dosa pan and pour some oil and make it spread across pan
- Pour 2 ladle of prepared batter over the heated pan
- Spirally move the ladle to stretch the batter to a round shape
- Then add little oil over the edge of the adai to avoid tearing
- Once it become golden brown, turn it over using flat ladle
- Cook for five minutes and finally transfer into a plate
- Now the nutritious Kambu Adai is ready to serve.
