Egg Rice – முட்டை சாதம்
Ingredients
- Basmati rice – 250g
- Eggs – 5
- Spring onions – 2
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbps
- Pepper powder – 1 tsp
- Chilly sauce – 1 tsp
- Soya sauce – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1
- Garlic cloves – 4
- Garlic cloves – 4
- Green chillies – 2
- Carrots – 1
- Cabbage – 1/4
- French beans – 10 to 12
- Curry leaves – Few
- Oil – Required
- Salt – Required
How to Prepare
Total Preparation time: 30-35 minutes
- Wash the rice and soak it for 30 minutes
- Chop carrots, chop cabbage, chop beans, grate ginger, chop garlic, chop spring onions separately and keep aside
- Take a rice vessel and add 1 liter water and 1 tbspn oil and boils it for 3 minutes
- Once water started bubbling, add soaked rice and cook it for 5 minutes
- Check rice, rice should not be cooked smoothly, it should be separable.
- Then remove water and transfer it into a wide bowl and allow them to cool
- Then heats up the pan with 2 tbspn oil add ginger followed by garlic and mix it well
- Add carrots, cabbage, beans and fry it for 2 minutes
- Add chilli sauce, soya sauce and salt and saute it for 1 minute
- Then add 2 tbspn oil then break and add the eggs one by one
- Add some salt and add 1 tsp pepper powder then fry it till egg is cooked
- Then add the rice and mix it gently for 2 minutes and make rice completely mixed it with eggs and vegetables
- Sprinkle 1/4 tsp ginger and chopped spring onions and mix it gently to avoid rice breakage
- Transfer it into small bowls
- Now the healthy Egg rice is ready for serve
