Banana Halwa – வாழைபழம் அல்வா
Ingredients
- Sweet Type Bananas – 3
- Milk – 250ml
- Sugar – 600g
- Cardamom – 6
- Cashew nuts – 30
- Raisins – 8
- Ghee – Required
How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Cut the bananas and grind it a thick smooth paste and keep aside
- Heat a pan with ghee, fry cashew nuts, raisins, cardamom for 2 minutes and keep aside
- Take a pan, add 100g sugar and 50ml water and allow them to melt
- And heat a heavy bottomed pan with 2 tbsp ghee and then banana paste and 250ml milk
- And stir it continuously till it become thinker it may takes 20 to 30 minutes and then add sugar and mix it well
- After that add ghee fried raisin, cashew nuts, cardamom and mix it well for 3 minutes
- Then add 2 tbsp ghee and mix it well and stir till the ghee comes from the halwa this may take 30 minutes
- Stir it very well to avoid burnt bottom and once it become thicker, thick gooey, non sticky and this is the perfect halwa consistency
- Turn off the flame and transfer it into a bowl
- Now the healthy Banana halwa is ready for serve
