Aval Kesari – அவல் கேசரி
Ingredients
- Poha – 250g
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cardamom – 6
- Kesari powder – 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts – Required
- Raisins – Required
- Sugar – Required
- Ghee – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Take a pan, heats up 2 tsp ghee, add poha and roast them for 2 minutes and add them into blender then grind them well and keep aside
- Take the same pan, heats up 2 tsp ghee, add cashew nuts till become golden
- After that add aval and add 400ml water and stir till continuously to smooth non sticky poha
- Stir continuously till the water starts boil and water drains out and make sure there is no lumps formed
- Once water is completely absorbed, the poha become thick and soft means the poha is cooked well
- After that add sugar and stir continuously and make the sugar dissolve
- Stir continuously till poha absorb the sugar water completely
- After that add cardamom powder, kesari powder and mix it well
- Add 2 tsp ghee and stir it well then close the lid for 2 minute in low flame
- After that move the kesari into a bowl
- Now the sweet Aval kesari is ready for serve
